Lame, Exhibit A

Click here for an excellent example of the laming of the mainline denominations, courtesy of The Episcopal Church. Notice the questions (always questions!) and their exuberant subjectivity, cloaked in “objective” narratives with God or something like him (“ground of being” perhaps).
I suppose you’ve seen some variation of the following?
Jesus asked them, “Who do you say that I am?”
And they answered, “You are the eschatological manifestation of the ground
of our being, the kerygma in which we find the ultimate meaning of our
interpersonal relationship.”
And Jesus said, “What?”
The disciples’ answer could easily be expanded.
Yep, I have come across that one.
